I am proud to announce that Sane Momma has been nominated for another award…The Liebster Award!
I was nominated for this award by two other bloggers who clearly deserved their initial nomination.
Lisa at Me and My Mom Friends aims to help other moms make their lives easier by sharing her own experiences. She covers tips and tricks for parenting, real mom confessions and a wealth of information on all things related to motherhood.
Liz over at The Yooper Mom shares her favorite tips on motherhood, recipes for even the pickiest kids, and managing finances as a mom on a budget. What’s a “Yooper”, you ask? It’s a native or inhabitant of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, which is exactly what Liz is!
I want to extend a BIG thank you to both of these wonderful ladies and I hope you check out their blogs as well.
Accepting The Liebster Award
What is it?
The Liebster Award is an award given to a blogger by other bloggers. Liebster is the German word for sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome. I am thrilled that my fellow bloggers associate Sane Momma with any of these touching words.
One of the rules of the Liebster Award is that the nominees must each answer the questions given to them by the blogger who nominated them. I love the questions that Lisa came up with! Here are my answers…
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging when I became a stay at home mom, Initially, it was simply a creative outlet. Over time, I began to enjoy creating content that helped other moms find some sanity and focus on self-care. As the blog has evolved, I am closer than ever to my latest goal – earning a full-time income from home so that my husband can become a stay at home dad and we can enjoy our lives together as a family.
Favorite place you’ve visited?
New York City, by far. The museums, the food, the culture – all of it! At this point in my life, I wouldn’t want to live there, but I’ll visit any day! Although, it has ruined pizza and black and white cookies for me forever. Nothing compares to the NYC versions!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Shopping by myself! I’ve always loved this, but after becoming a mom, it became quite the rarity.
What do you do to relax?
Anything creative. Blogging is usually my source of creative release, but I love drawing and graphic design as well!
How long have you been blogging?
I started playing around with blogging at the beginning of 2017, but I didn’t officially launch Sane Momma until September 1st, 2017. (As of this post date, I have been “officially” blogging for just over 6 months.)
What is your hidden talent?
Organization and time management are a bit obvious, but I absolutely love teaching. I have considered becoming a teacher, but I’m leaning toward online education through my blog or potentially a separate business endeavor at some point.
What is your favorite color?
Orange! Orange and yellow together is even better. I’m sure you can tell that I love this combination on my site. To me, it screams, happiness, energy, optimism, and warmth. These are all things that I want in my life and that I want to convey through my blog.
Warm weather or cold weather?
Warm for sure. I’m from Arizona and live now in New Hampshire. While I love many things about New Hampshire, the cold is not one of them. I love sunshine!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I would live where I live now, but I would bring everyone I love and care about here with me!
How do you define success?
Success is doing what you love and being able to sustain your lifestyle with it. I don’t need to make 6 figures a year, but to be able to support my family doing something that doesn’t feel like work at all is true success.
What motivates you?
I do. There are a million and one reasons not to move forward, but you have to have the drive to do so if you want to get anywhere. I have that drive and when it seems to be fizzling out, I can’t rely on anyone or anything other than myself to bring it back.
And without further adieu, the nominees are…
